The start of spring is traditionally a time for the stylish set to reach for the candy-colored items that have been neglected during the doldrums of winter.
But this year’s colder months shunned the outdated fashion rule mandating darker hues and embraced everything from pastels to winter whites, leaving room for a moodier spring palette. Enter the new season with a black-and-white look that is anything but basic; Graphic prints, contrasting patterns and woven textures add life to the standard color combination. –Angela Bobo
